France defies protocol by serving the Indian tricolor during a historic banquet at the Louvre Museum

The French government also violated precedent, since they never do the menu thread in anything other than French colors. Even the thread for the menu contained the Indian tricolor. Additionally, the vegetarian cuisine was created especially for the Prime Minister’s visit.

The partnership between France and India has continued to deepen despite a number of changes over the last 25 years, according to PM Modi. He said that France and India not only contribute to the prosperity of both nations but also to the peace and security of the whole globe. He said that the France-India alliance is a force for good in the world.

Modi received the grand cross of the Legion of Honor, the highest honor in France’s order of distinction, from French President Emmanuel Macron.
