“Harry Potter Castle” is destroyed in the Russian missile attack on Odesa, Ukraine, which left five people dead and many injured

New Delhi: Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in combat for almost a year now, and neither nation is prepared to give up and call for a ceasefire. A catastrophic and significant turn in the two countries’ conflict came when Russia launched a missile attack on Odesa, the Ukrainian Black Sea port city. There have been several injuries, including to children and a pregnant lady, and at least five fatalities. The so-called “Harry Potter Castle” was completely destroyed, along with other significant infrastructure. Residential structures were also harmed by the assault. The incident has been verified by the Ukrainian authorities, who released video of the Russian missile assault provided by the country’s prosecutor general.

Attack by Russian Missiles Upon Ukraine: Five Dead, Numerous Injured
As previously stated, according to Ukrainian officials, a Russian missile attack on the Black Sea port city of Odesa has resulted in at least five fatalities and over thirty injuries, CNN reported. Video footage that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine published shows the terrifying moment when several bomblets burst in rapid succession close to the coastline, causing havoc and destruction. Sadly, a pregnant lady and two children were among the wounded, highlighting the attack’s indiscriminate character. Compounding the already terrible situation, the attack caused considerable damage to over twenty residential structures and crucial infrastructure.

Destroyed “Harry Potter Castle,” Missile Debris Found
One of the buildings destroyed in the attack was a school, which people affectionately called the “Harry Potter castle” because of its unmistakable similarities to the famous Scottish building design. CNN stated that photos released by authorities show the once-dominant cone-shaped towers and roofs completely destroyed by fire, providing a somber image of the devastation. Authorities in Ukraine claim that an Iskander ballistic missile and cluster bombs were used to plan the attack, emphasizing how vicious it was. General Andriy Kostin, the prosecutor, said that metal pieces and missile debris had been found scattered over a large area, demonstrating the intensity of the attack.

On other developments, Ukraine launched an attack on Crimea as well, but Russian authorities claim that they were able to stop the missile and drone assault. Sergey Aksyonov, a civilian authority designated by the Kremlin, warned of the impending strike. Russian military blogs claim that airfields were the attack’s primary objectives.
