Macron Provides Snippets of PM Modi’s Visit to France

In a video montage of significant events during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to France, French President Emmanuel Macron wrote, “To the people of India, trust and friendship.”

The video was shared on Twitter and shows the Prime Minister receiving the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, France’s highest civilian and military medal, as well as the two leaders cuddling up to one another.

“It’s not just an honor for me, but also for the 1.4 billion of my fellow Indians,” Prime Minister Modi is heard adding. Thus, I sincerely appreciate you and consider it an honor.

The French President is heard saying, “Dear Narendra, you honor us with your presence on July 14,” as images show PM Modi standing beside Macron as the Guest of Honor for the Bastille Day parade, along with the participation of the Indian armed contingent. During the ceremonies for French National Day, the spectators are enthralled by the Indian tri-services marching troupe.

In 1916, Indian soldiers marched through the Champs-Elysees in the center of Paris on their way to join us in the trenches, according to the account.

“Today, we will continue to strengthen this historical relationship of trust between our two countries to address both international crises and significant global issues,” President Macron is heard saying.

“The effect is very tremendous because this is a wonderful time for our nation. The march is being seen by many people who are following the television coverage, according to the prime minister.

PM Modi was also seen with President Macron, who was there with his wife Brigitte Macron, for the Bastille Day luncheon held at the renowned Louvre Museum.

Macron is heard saying, “I want to acknowledge India’s contribution to history and the future of the world, and convey the friendly attachment that the French have for your nation and your people,” as the video shows him accompanying PM Modi to the Eiffel Tower while a fireworks display is playing in the background.

Both Modi and Macron launched the “India-France Indo-Pacific Roadmap” after lengthy deliberations, reiterating their commitment to a free, open, inclusive, and security Indo-Pacific area. The leaders also participated in the CEOs Forum, where the Indian Prime Minister emphasized continuing economic changes and urged French business leaders to take advantage of India’s potential.

According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Forum included 16 CEOs from the French side and 24 CEOs from the Indian side, representing a variety of industries including aviation, manufacturing, military, technology, and energy, among others.
