Russia says those responsible for the terrorist attack in Moscow have contacts with Ukraine

The assassins of Moscow’s Crocus City Hall had “contacts” in Ukraine, the Russian security service informed state-run news agency TASS on Saturday, and they were attempting to escape there.

The FSB reported 11 arrests related to the incident, and the state-run TASS news agency described the agency as stating, “After committing the terrorist attack, the criminals intended to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border and had appropriate contacts on the Ukrainian side.”

11 people, including four terrorists, were reportedly detained by Russia in connection with the assault on the Moscow music arena. It said that there were now 93 fatalities and issued a warning that there may be more.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the assault. The assault on one of their social media accounts was purportedly carried out by the Islamic State – Khorasan Province, often known as ISIS-K.

This is the bloodiest assault Moscow has seen in a long time.

The chief of the FSB security agency notified President Vladimir Putin about the arrests on Saturday, according to the Kremlin.

It said in a statement that “FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov reported to the president on the detention of 11 people, including four terrorists involved in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.”
