A shocking revelation has come to light in the brutal murder of Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara on Friday in Sialkot city of Punjab province of Pakistan. According to media reports, the two prime suspects have confessed to the police for their involvement in the torture and murder of Priyanta Kumara, a manager appointed as export manager in the factory. Priyanta Kumara, who was working as a manager in a private factory on Wazirabad Road in Sialkot, was lynched by a mob on blasphemy charges on December 3 and her body was set ablaze. Sources related to the investigation said that the Punjab government has submitted a preliminary report to the Prime Minister. According to preliminary reports given by the provincial government, the controversy erupted when Priyanta Kumara removed some posters from the walls of the factory at 10:28 am. As reported by The News,

Within no time the factory owner reached the spot and resolved the matter. The report said Kumara had apologized for the misunderstanding on his part. After Kumara apologized, the matter was reportedly resolved and the factory workers dispersed. The report said that some activists had instigated their colleagues to attack the manager.

A total of 13 security guards were present in the factory when the brutal attack was taking place. The report said that none of them tried to save the victim or disperse the crowd. Kumara's body was later dragged outside the factory and burnt.

Officials said the police received a call about the incident at 11:28 am. A police team reached the spot within 12 minutes, he said. Later a heavy police force was sent to the spot to nab and arrest the suspects.
