Comparing Secunderabad with Hyderabad: A story of two towns with opposing characters

I study business, therefore I’m not familiar with the science behind twins. I have only ever seen twins in films such as “Sita aur Geetha,” “Duplicate,” and “Judwa.” I have also seen the English subtitles for the film “Parent Trap.” These films have consistently portrayed one twin as insane and the other as slothful, one as spoiled and the other as a street vendor of pampers. Even though I’ve never talked to genuine twins, it’s usually shown as having a north and a south pole, which I believe is realistic.

However, my thoughts about Hyderabad and Secunderabad confirm the screenwriters’ findings.

For three marks, below are some notable cultural distinctions between Secunderabad and Hyderabad, albeit I can’t claim there is any big difference since culture in a country like India changes every five kilometers.

While you may select between strolling and skywalking in the better parts of Hyderabad, at Secunderabad’s busiest spot, all you can do is wave back to the child on the train while waiting for it to pass, with 89 other people on each side.

Since the Nizams and the British built Secunderabad and Hyderabad, respectively, everyone indulges in guilt-free gluttony on the biryani side of town, but there are enough Catholic churches to confess the fifth cardinal sin on the other side.

However, if you compare Hyderabad and Secunderabad as twin cities, Secunderabad is the twin that received less attention and was allowed to develop on its own, but Hyderabad received more attention and was often forced to dance when white customers, or relatives, came to visit.

However, it seems that my pals from Secunderabad are happy to be ignored since it keeps the noise and malls at bay and preserves the city’s original layout.

Simply put, they have a few innocuous requests:

Secunderabadis would prefer a little more time to go from Sainikpuri to these workplaces, even if they don’t want your Google and Amazon branches. There is a train that has to pass and the roads are narrow.

Mention Secunderabad from time to time. It would be like to claiming that the film is about Seetha and Geeta, yet every scene features Seetha alone.

Simply said, avoid jokes such as “Oh, you stay in Secunderabad?” When are you coming to our town? They think it’s a city since that’s how the books describe it.

Fact: Secunderabad was founded 200 years after Hyderabad, just like any other twin city.
