Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly handed Bad Boy Publishing rights to Aubrey O’Day in order to silence her

In an attempt to silence her, Aubrey O’Day claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs attempted last year to relinquish publication rights to musicians signed to Bad Boy Records.

‘TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy,’ a new TMZ documentary, features a former member of Danity Kane who claims to have received the publishing deal. She claimed to know what was in it, including how much money it would provide her.

Aubrey, nevertheless, refused to sign the contract. She said that she received an offer of $300.30 to waive her rights against Diddy and a number of other people.
When presenter Harvey Levin questioned Diddy about giving up the rights, she hinted that he could be trying to quiet as many people as possible.

Aubrey O’Day went on to say that she would not have received a complete financial compensation from the transaction. It expressly requested that I be quiet and never disparage someone. That’s when I understood something terrible was about to happen,” she said.

Diddy gave authors and artists connected to the company the publication rights to Bad Boy in September of last year. In the 90s, Diddy founded Bad Boy Records. Notorious B.I.G., Ma$e, Craig Mack, Faith Evans, Danity Kane, French Montana, and Janelle Monae were among the musicians connected to the label.

Diddy spoke to Variety at the time. “It’s just doing the right thing,” he said. I believe that we need to take a hard look at ourselves and go ahead as a society and as a sector. It’s about changing, setting an example, and bringing necessary change to a sector of the economy and a society that both need it.
