Recipe for Boondi Laddoo
You will need besan, sugar, water, ghee, cardamom powder, saffron threads, and chopped nuts for garnish in order to prepare Boondi Laddoo from scratch. This is the detailed recipe.

Besan and water should be combined in a mixing dish to create a smooth, lump-free batter. It should have a consistency like pancake batter.
In a deep skillet or kadhai, warm the ghee over medium heat. A tiny bit of batter dropped into heated ghee will rise to the top instantly, indicating that the ghee is hot enough.

Pour a ladleful of batter into the heated ghee while holding a perforated spoon or ladle over it. To release tiny droplets of batter into the hot ghee, lightly tap the spoon. The boondi should be fried till crispy and golden brown. Proceed in the same manner with the leftover batter.

Heat the water and sugar in a another saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved. For flavor, add saffron strands and cardamom powder.

After the boondi are cooked, pour off any extra ghee and add them to the hot sugar syrup. Thoroughly mix until the syrup is uniformly distributed over all of the boondi.
When the combination cools down enough to handle, let it rest. While the mixture is still warm, form it into little laddoos by rubbing some ghee on your hands. To make sure they maintain their form, press down hard.

Add chopped cashews, pistachios, or almonds on the top of each laddoo. Let cool fully before putting the laddoos in an airtight container.
