Meet the IAS officer who began studying for the UPSC test in seventh grade, passed on his second try, and was awarded an air ticket

In India, the UPSC test is the most difficult exam. Every year, thousands of applicants take this test in hopes of being hired for IAS, IPS, and IFS important posts. But only a select few diligent candidates will succeed on this test. Today, we’ll talk about Kanika Goyal, a candidate who passed the test and was appointed as an IAS officer.

Kanika was initially a resident of Haryana’s Model Town. She obtained a 10 CGPA and has always been an authentic student in School Standard X. She was awarded a state topper in Standard XII. She pursued her further studies in political science at Delhi University’s esteemed Lady Shree Ram College.

Kanika achieved a magnificent AIR 9 in 2022 after passing her UPSC test on her second try. When asked how she felt seeing her name in the top 10, Kanika stated she couldn’t believe her eyes after seeing such a great success. “I was not expecting my name at all,” the woman said. I double- or triple-checked the results after they were announced to confirm that my name was listed at number nine, according to India Today.
After completing the tasks that she had been working toward for the previous 10 years, she felt “very happy and satisfied”.

Kanika credits her parents, who have always lifted her spirits, for her achievement in the Civil Services test. She acknowledges that her success as the highest-ranking holder in the UPSC CSE 2022 was unexpected and attributes it to her family’s encouragement. Prior to enrolling in the Civil Services, Kanika had shown her ability as a student by receiving excellent marks in her tenth and twelfth grades. Since the seventh grade, she had been committed to being an IAS officer and had never wavered.
