141 Agniveers have joined the Ladakh Scouts

On Friday, a splendid passing out ceremony marked the arrival of 141 well-trained Agniveer recruits into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment as Young Soldiers at the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre in Leh.
The magnificent ceremony, held in accordance with the finest traditions of the Indian Army, was presided over by Brig Dr BD Mishra (Retd), Lt Governor, UT Ladakh, and was attended by a wide range of military and governmental authorities, as well as Agniveers’ parents.
The young Agniveers from all around Ladakh participated heartily in the march and are now ready to serve for the greatest cause of the Nation.

The Reviewing Officer commended the young soldiers on their magnificent march and immaculate turnout, and encouraged them to dedicate their lives to serving the nation as patriotic soldiers of the lndian Army. He also complimented the pleased parents for inspiring their children to join the Regiment.

He hailed the Ladakh Scouts personnel for their great performance in all fields, as well as their extraordinary heroism and sacrifice in protecting the nation’s sovereignty. He urged the Young Soldiers to continue striving for excellence in all domains and to take a solemn oath to protect the sovereignty of the Nation against all odds in the genuine spirit represented by the ethos of the lndian Army.

Seven young Agniveers received awards for their exceptional achievement throughout training. Gaurav Padak was also handed to delighted parents who are now serving or have previously served in the Army and whose children have joined the Regiment as Agniveers.

It was a proud time for the recruits’ families who had traveled long distances to watch the magnificent event.
