33 teams will monitor adherence to the “Surakshit School Vahan” policy in Faridabad

33 teams of authorities have been assigned by the district administration to begin the task of examining the safety of school cars and provide a thorough report by April 24. In light of the state government’s directives after the April 11 event in the Mahendragarh district that resulted in the deaths of six children, the Education Department has been instructed to oversee the whole exercise.

According to a senior official, cluster teams have been assigned to different parts of the city and district to physically inspect the staff and vehicles that schools have used to transport students. This is in addition to the DC office monitoring daily progress on the adherence to the rules under the “Surakshit School Vahan” policy.

The following criteria must be used by officials to assess compliance: experience, driver and staff licenses and uniforms, vehicle fitness, insurance, registration, GPS, CCTV equipment, and bus color. According to the rules established by the government, the employees working in the buses must wear name plates.

Guarav Parashar of the Private Schools Association expressed his displeasure over the use of school buses for political demonstrations, claiming that this has resulted in a number of issues. According to him, schools were prepared to adhere to all regulations provided as the relevant authorities did not engage in excessive harassment. The government has threatened to take severe measures if schools are opened on gazetted vacations.
