Admin of a Whatsapp group was detained in Bhadohi, UP, over remarks critical of Adityanath

According to police, a guy who ran a WhatsApp group was detained here after a “derogatory” statement made about the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in the group appeared on social media.

On August 4, a remark made against Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, went viral on social media, according to Kotwali Police Station SHO Ajay Kumar Seth. Sahabuddin Ansari, the individual who was detained, has been identified but Muslim Ansari, the person who submitted the remark, is still at large, according to him.

According to Seth, the police were notified of the complaint in this matter on August 4 through Twitter. He claimed to have a screenshot of the offensive remark.

 

Sahabuddin Ansari and Muslim Ansari were charged under many provisions of the IPC, the IT Act, and the Criminal Law Amendment Act as a result of the complaint.

 

According to the police, there are practically all of the Nagar Palika Parishad of Bhadohi’s corporators in the WhatsApp group called “Nagar Palika Parishad Bhadohi,” which was created with the intention of addressing issues that ordinary people experience. Police also said that this is not a corporate WhatsApp group.
