Akash, a Maya heir, criticizes the BJP in Nagina

BSP national coordinator and party head Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand inaugurated the party’s election campaign on Saturday from Nagina, a reserved seat in Western Uttar Pradesh. Anand took aim at the governing BJP and other major figures over the electoral bond issue.

Speaking at his first public rally, Anand said that throughout the previous six years, only the BSP had refused to accept donations in the form of electoral bonds from large corporations. “I want to inform you that over Rs 16,500 crore in electoral bonds have been donated to 25 political parties, ranging from the Bharatiya Janata Party to the Samajwadi Party,” he added. In contrast, he claimed that the BSP was a party that was financed and governed by its cadre and followers.

The political successor of Mayawati also charged the BJP of misleading people and selling them unrealistic ideals, first in Gujarat and then across the nation, starting in 2014. He emphasized the BJP’s “Digital India” campaign, the UP government’s “bulldozer” tactics, the free ration distribution program, paper leaks, and “sub-standard” elementary education.

Anand urged the electorate to raise questions about the BJP’s leadership in the areas of young employment, elderly citizen protection, and child education. “Ask them about their accomplishments over the past ten years; they will lie to you and make false promises.” Inform them that you won’t vote for them until they’ve shared their report card with you,” he stated.
