Around 200 people were evacuated from Hindon Banks due to a flood alert in Noida

According to authorities, the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has issued a flood warning for low-lying areas along the Hindon due to an increase in water flow in the river.

After the alarm was issued on Saturday, some 200 residents from five villages were evacuated and sent to shelter houses, according to them. According to a senior official, the river is running below the 205-meter danger level in the area bordering Delhi in western Uttar Pradesh.

According to Additional District Magistrate Atul Kumar, 200 residents of five villages have been relocated to shelter houses put up by the government to offer them with lodging, food, and medical attention.

Currently, the Hindon is running at 200 meters, which is below the 205-meter danger level, according to Kumar, who is also the nodal official for flood relief efforts in Gautam Buddh Nagar.

In this area, the Hindon and Yamuna rivers meet. Recent flooding in the area along the banks of the Yamuna river swamped 550 hectares of low-lying land and had an effect on thousands of people and animals.
