Arvind Kejriwal arrested: Delhi Police issues traffic advisory ahead of protests by AAP, check routes to avoid

Update on traffic in Delhi: A political party’s planned demonstration at DDU Marg in the nation’s capital prompted the Delhi Traffic Police to issue an alert. The traffic volume of IP Marg, Vikas Marg, Minto Road, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg will continue to be high.
DDU Marg will continue to be blocked to vehicles.

The commuters were cordially urged to avoid certain routes and make appropriate travel plans by the traffic police.

The ED is scheduled to present Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal before a special PMLA court here on Friday in order to secure his remand for detention and questioning in the money laundering case related to purported anomalies in the cancelled Delhi excise policy 2021–2022, according to authorities.
The federal investigation agency detained the 55-year-old politician on Thursday after searches at his official house on Flagstaff Road in the Civil Lines neighbourhood of the nation’s capital. The politician is also the national convenor and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Early in the morning, a group of medical professionals could be spotted going inside the central Delhi ED where Kejriwal was being held after his detention. It is believed that the emergency department (ED) contacted the hospital personnel to do a rudimentary medical examination on the lawmaker prior to his being transported to court.

The Enforcement Department (ED) has the right to request a 10-day detention of Kejriwal from the court, citing his persistent “non-cooperation” in the probe and seeking to determine his personal participation and that of his party in relation to the liquor policy and the alleged irregularities.

After obtaining Kejriwal’s custody, the agency may also notify the court of its mandate to question him alongside other detained suspects and witnesses, such as BRS leader K Kavitha, who was detained last week.
