Arvind Kejriwal files a case before the SC contesting the Delhi High Court’s ruling upholding the ED’s detention

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court on Wednesday to protest the denial of his application for his arrest and custody in the Delhi liquor scandal, a day after the Delhi High Court rejected it, his attorney from the AAP legal cell Sanjeev Nasiar informed this publication.

“Kejriwal has petitioned the Supreme Court today, contesting the Delhi High Court’s ruling from yesterday in the matter. Nasiar said, “He has appealed to the SC.”

According to him, Kejriwal’s petition would probably be brought up for an early listing and hearing before the Chief Justice bench today at approximately 10.30 a.m.

In a money laundering case arising from the purported excise fraud, the Delhi High Court earlier on Tuesday supported his detention, stating that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had “little option” after he ignored many summonses and refused to cooperate with the probe.
