At ntse.scertodisha.nic.in, the NMMS Odisha 2023 registration process begins; applications are due on August 31

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) announced on August 5 that the registration period for the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2023 has begun. Through the scholarship’s official website, ntse.scertodisha.nic.in, eligible students may now apply. A total of 3,314 scholarships are being provided by the Odisha NMMS to Class 8 students enrolled in state-run or -aided institutions. According to the official timetable, the test is expected to take place on November 5.

NMMS ODISHA REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Go to the official website, ntse.scertodisha.nic.in, as the first step.

Step 2: On the site, choose the ‘Application for NMMS 2023-24′ option.

Step 3: Complete the application and submit the scanned files, which should include a picture and a signature.

Step 4: Carefully review all the information you provided on the NMMS application form.

Step 5: Submit the application and download the confirmation document if necessary.

NMMS ODISHA: CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY

For the general and SEBC categories, students must have received a minimum of 55% of the possible points, and for the reserved categories SC, ST, and PH, at least 50% of the possible points. In the academic year 2023–2024, it is crucial that children in Class 8 attend government or government-aided schools in Odisha.

Additionally, the student’s parents’ combined yearly income should not exceed Rs. 3,50,000. Additionally, it was noted in the official guidelines that kids enrolled at government residential schools, such as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, ST and SC Development Department residential schools, KGBV, etc., where all costs are covered by the government, are not eligible for scholarships under the Scheme.

ODISHA: OFFICIAL SCHEDULE FOR NMMS

– Online application forms must be filled out and submitted by pupils between August 5 and August 31 at their individual schools.

– September 8 is the deadline for headmasters or headmistresses to submit countersigned physical copies of application forms to the DEOs.

– District Education Office confirmation of application forms: September 25

– Candidates may download their admit cards between October 10 and November 5.

ODISHA: NMMS REQUIRES DOCUMENTS

-A recent caste certificate (not older than 2021-22)

Physically Handicapped Candidates’ Disability Certificate (UDID Card)

All applicants must provide an income certificate by the year 2021-22.

-Children of the Mo Kudia Yojana, Annapurna, Antyodaya, and Ration Card families may provide the necessary documentation. They are not need to provide an income certificate in such situation.
