Attack on Doc at Kerala Hospital, 2 Arrested

In the early hours of Saturday, two men who were there to see a patient at the general hospital in Kochi violently attacked a government physician. As a result, the guys were detained, according to the police.

The accused reportedly assaulted the male doctor for questioning them when they attempted to act inappropriately with his female colleague, who was also on duty, who was also a doctor.

According to the physicians, they both worked as house surgeons at the government-run hospital.

After being knocked to the ground by the accused, the male doctor was beaten.

He was attacked and now is being treated for severe injuries.

The accused, named as Josneil and Roson Robin of Mattancherry, are said to have visited a relative who was admitted to the hospital when they arrived at the facility.

“When a police squad arrived at the hospital and learned about the assault, they had already left the area. We identified the suspects and then got them into jail based on eyewitness reports and an examination of the CCTV images, a senior police official told PTI.

He stated that the arrest was documented in accordance with the Hospital Protection Act’s provisions and that they will shortly be presented to the court.
