Bihar is still experiencing intense heat, and over 40 people have died as a result

Over 40 people have died in Bihar since May 31 as a result of this year’s relentless heat wave.

People have been urged to remain inside from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to the state’s extreme heat.

“The heatwave, which has been affecting Bihar for the previous 19 days, has recently become worse. It has surpassed the 2012 record. The heat wave had been going on for 19 days at that point. We anticipate the warmth to linger for the next days, according to Aashish Kumar, a Met Department official in Patna.

Patna east had a high temperature of 45.7 degrees Celsius, while Patna west recorded a temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius. Due to the presence of vegetation, the temperature in the Patna capital area, which is home to the mansions of the governor, chief minister, deputy chief minister, and other dignitaries, is somewhat lower (44.7 degrees Celsius).

Sheikhpura, rather than Patna, registered Bihar’s highest temperature for the previous 24 hours. Arwal, Jahanabad, Bhojpur, Buxar, Sheikhpura, Rohtas, Bhabhua, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Nalanda, and Nawada district are still experiencing a heat wave.

The officer from the Met Department said that Patna, Nawada, Nalanda, Bhojpur, and Arwal also had warm nights.

Due to the coming of the monsoon, residents of the Kishanganj, Araria, and Purnea districts have been spared from the heatwave.
