Body of a nurse discovered in a Sonepat park

On Wednesday morning, the 35-year-old woman’s corpse was discovered in the Railway Park close to Sarang Road.

Nisha (pictured) of Chintpurni Colony on Kami Road has been identified as the dead. She was employed as a nurse at a Mohalla Clinic in Shahdara, Delhi.

At about eight in the morning today, the Civil Lines police got information about the corpse. They arrived at the location and started looking into the situation since the GRP is in charge of the area. According to police sources, there is a preliminary suspicion that the lady was strangled using her scarf. She used to take the train every day to Delhi. Her handbag and cell phone were discovered next to her corpse.

For a post-mortem inspection, the police transferred the corpse to the General Hospital morgue. It is believed that the lady was strangled to death, said to Inspector Mahabir Singh, SHO, GRP, even though the post-mortem test will determine the true cause of death. The SHO said that family members have been notified and that a murder case has been filed. An investigation is under progress.
