The India Meteorological Department predicts severe to very dense fog across North India for the next five days. Furthermore, India is expected to see exceptionally chilly daytime temperatures over the next several days, according to the latest report from IMD.

Traffic was hampered on Saturday morning by the fog that covered Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department said that even today, the weather is not anticipated to get much better. Due to the dense fog, eleven trains that are traveling to Delhi today from all around the country are running behind schedule.

The Meteorological Department predicts bright sky on Saturday, with cold to severe weather in isolated places. The highest recorded temperature is fifteen degrees, while the lowest is seven. There will be fog until January 20. On Saturday, orange warnings are issued, and on Sunday, yellow alerts.

The director of the Regional Weather Forecasting Center, Kuldeep Srivastava, predicts somewhat higher daytime temperatures for the next week. He said, “It would be chilly in Delhi in the mornings and nights. But because of the daylight, there will be comfort throughout the day.” Srivastava stressed that, as of now, there isn’t any reason to believe that Delhi’s weather would significantly alter in January.

The Uttar Pradesh weather service predicts that Lucknow will have a low temperature of 7 degrees and a high temperature of 16 degrees on January 20. At the same time, severe to very dense fog is predicted for Lucknow tomorrow. At the same time, there’s a probability that it will be chilly outside. The lowest temperature will be 7 degrees, and the maximum temperature will be 15 degrees in Ghaziabad. In addition, Ghaziabad will experience high cold and a lot of fog.

Over most of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from the 19th to the 20th, and in certain regions over the following four days, conditions of thick to very dense fog are predicted to linger for a few hours in the night or morning.

According to Skymet, there will be mild to moderate precipitation in several parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and the southern coast of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, South Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, and Sikkim are at risk for light rain.
