At the same time, Karnataka has named this night curfew as corona curfew keeping in mind the words of PM Modi. In fact, Prime Minister Modi (PM Modi) recently said, "Wherever the night curfew in Karnataka is imposed, the phrase 'corona curfew' should be used so that awareness about coronavirus is maintained. . "
Corona curfew is imposed in these districts
In the state of Karnataka, the cities of Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Tumkuru, Udupi-Manipal have been included under the Corona Curfew. At the same time, it has also been made clear that the curfew will be confined only to these district centers and no rural area comes under these districts.
Which services will be closed in curfew?
According to the directive of the state government, all factories, companies and organizations with night shifts can remain operational during the curfew but employees working in the company will have to report to the workplace before 10 pm. While health and emergency services have also been exempted, vehicles providing essential services can also proceed without restriction. At the same time, people suffering from health issues and those with their families are also allowed to come during the curfew.
Apart from this, essential service vehicles or freight vehicles, home delivery, e-commerce have been allowed to come during the curfew. Traveling passengers are allowed to travel by giving tickets and reasons for traveling. At the same time, the state government said that action will be taken against those who violate the Night Curfew Rules under the Disaster Management Act 2005, IPC.
Can curfew change to lockdown?
The day before the Corona curfew began, 7,955 new Kovid-19 cases were reported in the state, the highest one-day spike in 2021. However, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that we are trying to implement the suggestions given by the Prime Minister within this framework. This is the reason why we have chosen the district where the cases of corona are increasing without imposing night curfew. We want to see how effective it will be, if things do not come under control, we may have to expand it across the state.
