Demand a Rajasthan Bandh Today Following the Home-Based Killing of a Rajput Leader
Jaipur: Following his shooting death at his Jaipur residence, the followers of well-known Rajput leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi have declared a bandh in Rajasthan.
CCTV evidence indicated that Gogamedi, the leader of the fringe group Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, was shot and killed in his living room by three men who had just had tea with him.
In a Facebook post, criminal Rohit Godara, who is intimately connected to the groups led by Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, admitted to being the murderer.
In the assault, Gogamedi and two of his colleagues were shot. After they were taken to the hospital, the medical staff pronounced him dead. During a firefight, Gogamedi’s assistants also shot and killed one of the assailants, according to the authorities.
Protests broke out in Rajasthan, where the BJP is in power after the Congress lost the most recent assembly elections, after the horrific murder of a Rajput leader.
His supporters asked that the accused be taken into custody right once and blocked the Shipra Path outside the hospital. Protests broke out in the districts of Churu, Udaipur, Alwar, and Jodhpur in addition to Jaipur.
Chief of Rajasthan Police Umesh Mishra stated that searches are being carried out on the accused’s potential hiding places and pleaded for peace to be maintained.
