When Aramudhan attempted to get down and run, the group hacked him and took off.

The corpse was taken for a postmortem by the Otteri police. Aramudhan served as the DMK secretary of the Kattankulathur union (north) and the deputy chairman of the Kattankulathur Panchayat union.
