Due to a flat fire in Faridabad, residents were evacuated

Tuesday saw a fire break out at a high-rise building in Sector 82 here, just escaping the residents’ home. In less than an hour, the society’s employees and members extinguished the fire.

According to apartment tenant Aryan Goel, “the fire broke out in a flat located on the 12th floor of the K-Tower of the Grandeura society here around 12 pm, due to a short circuit in an AC installed in one of the rooms.”

He claimed that after seeing flames, the family was able to contain the fire with the assistance of the RWA personnel and other residents. Although the event caused damage to the AC and a neighboring window, the full extent of the loss has not yet been determined, he added.

“The RWA authorities, together with the maintenance and security personnel, swiftly reacted to the assistance request. Before the Fire Brigade Department’s tender arrived, the fire was put out,” he said.
