ED tells Delhi court that Kejriwal was a major conspirator in the liquor scam and requests 10-day imprisonment

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, was brought before the Rouse Avenue court here on Friday by the Enforcement Directorate, who also requested his 10-day detention in the money laundering case related to the excise policy.

The AAP leader was brought before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja at 2:00 pm in the midst of heavy security on and around the court grounds. “We have given an application for 10 days’ remand,” the ED informed the court.

The Enforcement Directorate informed the court that some defendants from the “South group” had been asked to pay Rs 100 crore to the Delhi Chief Minister in exchange for Punjab elections, when they were seeking imprisonment.
