For helping Ulfa-I ambush the Assam Rifles, three people were detained

Dibrugarh: On April 16, an Assam Rifles convoy was ambushed at Margherita in Tinsukia by the banned militant group Ulfa-I (United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent). The Assam Rifles, Arunachal Pradesh Police, and Tinsukia Police jointly carried out a joint operation that resulted in the arrest of three people from Tinsukia, which is located along the Assam-Arunachal border.

Mankhul Mossang (28), Mannong Mossang (39), and Jhonwang Hakum (21), all from Tinsukia, were apprehended as a result of the operation. The three have been charged with giving the Ulfa-I cadres engaged in the ambush logistical assistance, rations, and advice. tnn
