Maximum number of youngsters added to voter list in Mandi district

According to Mandi DC Apoorv Devgan, the district’s election officer, 31,840 young people’s names have been added to the voter list, out of the district’s 37,115 youngsters. In the state, Mandi district leads the way in voter registration.

According to the DC, almost all names have been added to the voter list in the district’s Karsog Assembly section in opposition to the “possible” juvenile population.

According to him, 10,327 voters’ names have been registered in the voters’ list out of 11,675 applications for registration submitted since January 1, 2024. In the Dharampur Assembly segment, the highest number of youths—1,813—applied for registration, while the lowest—794—enrolled in the Balh Assembly segment.

“Our goal is to update the voter list for the whole district by May 4 with the names of the kids who turn 18 on April 1, 2024. We’re knocking on doors in order to achieve this. Additionally, SVEEP is being used to raise awareness about adding people to the voter list, he said.

He said that in order to get one’s name added to the voter list, one may apply online using Form-6, which is accessible on the Election Department’s website, ceohimachal.nic.in, or by downloading the Voter Helpline app from the Play Store. All that is required for the application process is the applicant’s most recent passport-sized picture, a copy of their proof of age, and their address.
