Goa’s government would start earning money from Manohar International Airport in May 2024, according to the CM

According to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, the Goa government would begin collecting money from the recently completed airport in Mopa in North Goa in May 2024. GMR Goa International Airport Ltd. runs the Manohar International Airport in Mopa, which opened its doors in December of last year.

According to Sawant, the state government has a 37.6 percent stake in the project and will begin to receive income from it in May 2024. The CM was questioned by the opposition over what will happen to the outdated airport at Dabolim in South Goa.

The chief minister said that operations at the Dabolim airport will resume concurrently. To make sure that foreign aircraft arriving at Dabolim are not diverted to the new airport, Sawant said he will meet with representatives of the civil aviation ministry, Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho, and the state Minister of Tourism Rohan Khaunte.
