“Henry is back”: Mahua Moitra’s former companion says his dog is overjoyed to be back at home

On Thursday, advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai, whom Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra referred to as her “jilted ex,” said that he had returned custody of his rottweiler, Henry. In a video, the advocate wished Henry a happy return and thanked everyone for their “support, prayers, and well wishes.” The counsel and the Lok Sabha MP fought bitterly over Henry’s custody, and the attorney filed many complaints against Mahua Moitra in this regard. Mahua deemed Dehadrai’s claim of payment for questioning against the MP’s vengeance and motivated due to the current custody battle. Given that the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee approved its draft report criticizing Mahua Moitra on the same day Henry returned with Jai Anant Dehadrai, the charges might result in Mahua Moitra’s removal from the assembly.

Previously, Jai Anant Dehadrai said that he was asked to drop the “cash-for-question” lawsuit against Mahua Moitra in return for Henry by her attorney. As per Jai Anant, he refuted it.

Both Mahua Moitra and Jai Anant Dehadrai had made claims about Henry and accused the other of taking the family pet.

Jai Anant Dehadrai asked for protection in his most recent complaint against Mahua Moitra and said he would be physically attacked. He said that Mahua Moitra was attempting to scare Henry by using him as a “excuse” to visit his home. “I have previously informed the commissioner of police on October 19 and then on October 21 regarding this fraudulent and bogus complaints which Moitra had foisted on me with the objective of using them as leverage to force or compel me to hand over the custody of my pet dog, and I have also flagged to the commissioner the very serious threat to my life which I anticipate on account of the complaints filed by me with CBI against Moitra and her associates,” Dehadrai wrote in a letter.
