Himachal Day is enthusiastically observed

Today was the 77th Himachal Day, and it was observed with much joy and enthusiasm. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla saluted the magnificent march past and unfurled the tricolor.

Held here on the ancient Ridge, Shukla presided over the state-level Himachal Day ceremony. Parade Commander IPS Abhishek led the march past, which included participation from NCC cadets, Home Guards, Bharat Scouts and Guides, and state police contingents.

Pratibha Singh, the head of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were also in attendance.

The Governor praised the rich legacy and breathtaking scenery that characterize this hill state while wishing the people of the state happiness on this auspicious Himachal Day. He praised the state’s honest and industrious citizens for their perseverance in overcoming economic and geographic obstacles to propel fast growth.

He praised the societal harmony and tranquility as characteristics that made Himachal Pradesh unique. The Governor acknowledged the state’s journey from humble beginnings to being a leader in hill development and attributed the advancement to the state’s constant commitment to its people. He expressed optimism that the state would continue to grow and thrive because of the same spirit of resolve in the future.

On April 15, 1948, thirty minor highland princely hill kingdoms merged to become Himachal. “Dev Bhoomi’s unique identity lies in its rich culture, ancient customs, and breathtaking scenery,” the Governor said.

“With little resources at first, this tiny hill state has come to lead the way in hill development and serve as a model for other states to imitate. The honest individuals deserve the credit for their zeal and tenacity in pursuing the objectives. Shukla expressed his hope that this fervor will endure in the future to maintain the current rate of progress.

“Youth are a nation’s true riches, thus it is our moral obligation to empower and encourage them to use their energy to develop the country. Not only will this keep them safe from drugs, but it will also inspire others to join the fight against this social scourge. Shukla said, “We need to unite all facets of society in the fight against drug usage and eradicate this evil from society as a whole.

The state’s great independence warriors, who were the true heroes in establishing Himachal as an independent state, were honored by the governor. He also honored the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the country.

The Governor made a plea to every citizen to make sure they fully participated in the Utsav of Democracy and to use their right to vote. On this day, a vibrant cultural program was also shown.

On the event were Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil, and other officials.
