CM Khattar requests of officials that complaints on the “Jan Samvad” portal be resolved quickly

Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, gave officials instructions on Thursday to ensure that complaints submitted to the state’s “Jan Samvad” site be resolved promptly and in a timely manner.

According to an official release, Khattar called a meeting with the Administrative Secretaries and asked them to “seriously” evaluate the written grievances and suggestions the public had submitted during the “Jan Samvad” (public-connect) activities he has been conducting in rural regions.

The chief minister instructed everyone present to make sure the site was examined every week and to assess the amount of complaints that had been successfully addressed and filed with respective departments.

The freshly opened Jan Samvad webpage has received 7,200 complaints and requests, according to the statement.

Khattar also ordered that distinct categories be created at the departmental level for each evaluation report.

The inauguration of the Jan Samvad site is a significant step in this regard, according to the chief minister of Haryana. “The Haryana government has implemented numerous e-governance programmes to make the common man’s life easier,” he added.

Khattar shared his experiences from the Jan Samvad activities, stating that individuals had complained to him that despite sending many copies of their written complaints to different public authorities, their applications sometimes went missing.

According to him, the government created the Jan Samvad site to solve this problem, where written complaints may be digitally recorded and sent to the appropriate ministries for follow-up action.

He stated that this platform sends SMS updates to users on the progress of their complaints.

According to Khattar, setting a timeframe for the resolution of each complaint submitted via the site would ensure that the officer in question is held accountable.

According to the announcement, the Jan Samvad webpage also offers details on the current village-level government projects.

In addition to routine monitoring by the Chief Minister’s Office, all nodal officials will now be able to visit the portal daily and take the appropriate action, the statement said, to guarantee the orderly flow of work at the village level.

Others present at the meeting were Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister D S Dhesi and Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal.
