Himachali culture is honored by the diaspora at a California event

At the Himachali Nite on Tuesday in Sunnyvale, California, the magnificence of Himachal Pradesh was on exhibit. A sizable gathering from all throughout the Bay Area, both of Himachali and non-Himachali heritage, expressed their appreciation and delight in the event.

It was a chance to showcase the state’s colorful culture and encourage the kids of the expatriate population to establish a connection with their heritage.

Little children performed pahadi dances, gifted Bay Area singers sang pahadi tunes, and

The Bay Area Nati Group performed natti with great passion.

The fashion show that was organized at the occasion showcased the beauty of Himachali weaves.

Traditional Himachali Dham was served, and a live Siddu station was set up to tantalise the visitors’ taste buds and give even more flavor to the evening.

Even though we are distant from our own country, as NRIs, we still have a special place in our hearts for the state that was highlighted in the Himachali Nite. The key organizing team, which included Bhavna Satya, Vaishali Sharma, Shipra Butail, Pranav Sud, Kiran Guleria, and Namrita Yuhanna, did a great job of it. Only when the whole community joins together are such community activities feasible, according to Vanshika Parmar, who led the event’s organization.

She said, “We want to inspire our children who are born and raised in the USA to carry on the beautiful traditions of Himachal Pradesh and carry on the legacy of our pristine state.”
