If requests are not satisfied, building work will not proceed. farmer’s physique

Under the auspices of the Himachal Kisan Sabha, a demonstration was held against the developers of the 210-MW Luhri Hydroelectric Project, which is now being built near Bithal. When the demonstrators arrived at the main office, they handed over a document to the authorities and threatened to stop building beyond April 24 if the requests and issues of the farmers were not addressed.

During the protest, former MLA Rakesh Singha said that the project developers would be held accountable if citizens impacted by the project decided to halt development at any point after April 24 if their concerns and requests went unanswered. Singha continued, saying that the members of the Kisan Sabha visited the Luhri Project’s main office in Bithal and turned in the document.

He said that 168 persons, whose property had been taken for the project’s development, had not received jobs from the project builders. Farmers living close to the project area were not receiving compensation for the harm that pollution did to their crops or for the fissures that the nearby building operations had created in their homes.

According to Singha, the project developers were forewarned by the protesting farmers in the memorandum that large-scale agitation would be carried out if their requests and obligations were not fulfilled by April 24. As a result, the project developers would be solely responsible and the building process may stop altogether. He said that the SJVN had previously received warnings, but the project developers did not seem to address their issues.

“This message serves as a cautionary tale. The farmers will plan and organize a major movement if this is not taken into account. Singha went on, “They’ll be ready to go above and above to be heard.

According to a spokesman for the Luhri Hydroelectric Project, the government was considering the liabilities issue since the administration would compile a list of liabilities based on the criteria and pay out damages in line with those liabilities. He said that the SJVN was committed to using the initiative to provide state residents jobs.
