In Bengaluru, a dad kills his kid after being refused alcohol

BENGALURU: On Thursday, at their Kamakshipalya home, a 58-year-old former security guard is accused of firing a gunshot through the door of his locked bedroom, killing his 35-year-old son who was standing outside.

Sent to his bedroom, Suresh Bopanna had shut himself up, furious that his son Narthan had refused to give him money to purchase whiskey. The boy begged his father to open the closed door from outside.
In response to a complaint made by Shwetha Boppanna, Narthan’s younger sister, Kamakshipalya police apprehended and charged Suresh with murder.
Suresh, a former security guard, has two single-barrel breech-loading firearms and was licensed to use them both. Around 3:40 p.m., he fired at Narthan with one of the firearms, according to the police. After being taken to a private hospital in Basaveshwaranagar, severely wounded Narthan passed away around 6:20 p.m.
Narthan was found to be standing outside the bedroom door that Suresh had locked, according to the investigation. The father and son had argued a short while ago about purchasing wine.Suresh shut himself in the room, furious. Nart han was requesting his father to open the door as he stood outside. Raising the rifle, Suresh took aim at the door and fired. Sadly, Narthan was struck by the bullet just below his heart after it passed through the door. Suresh entered the door as Narthan was screaming and falling, astonished to find that his bullet had struck him. By then, Narthan had contacted Shwetha, his younger sister, to inform her of the situation. Shwetha contacted a nearby relative, and together they took Narthan to the hospital. A police officer said, “Suresh, who had stayed at home, tried to destroy the evidence by washing the bloodstains on the floor.”
Suresh was at home when Narthan died away in the hospital. He was taken into custody by the police right away.
Mother was defenseless while she lay in bed.
Suresh and Narthan were both out of work. “Suresh had given up his work a long time ago due to his alcohol addiction. However, Narthan was employed as an executive at a supermarket and had a diploma. He left his work to take care of his mother because of her illness. An investigating officer said, “Nathan’s mother is totally incapacitated and was helplessly laying in bed when her son was fired at by her husband. According to accounts, Narthan was providing for the family’s financial need, and his sister and her spouse also contributed. The family is from Madikeri’s Napoklu.
