In the CS test, BDO ranks 438th

In the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) 2023 Civil Services Examination, Block Development Officer, Totu, Anmol, came in at position 438.

Anmol (30) had also achieved the highest score in the Himachal Administrative Services test.

Anmol was complimented by Shimla Anupam Kashyap, Deputy Commissioner, for making a courtesy visit to his office. In the Shimla district’s Totu development block, Anmol is now assigned as a BDO.

Krishan Chand, Anmol’s father, was a HAS officer as well. Usha Devi, his mother, is a Baldwara ZP ward member of the Zila Parishad.

In addition, his younger brother is getting ready for competitive tests.

Anmol lives in the Sarkaghat sub-division of the Mandi district, specifically in Chukku Tanda village, which is under the Paonta gram panchayat. He attended Kendriya Vidyalaya for his elementary schooling. Following this, he completed an MTech at IIT Delhi and a civil engineering degree at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur. Anmol said that after seeing his father assist others, he was motivated to enter the administrative service. He attributed his success to his parents, who he said encouraged him to pursue his goals.
