L-G attends the Samba Gurdwara on Baiskhi

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha offered prayers at the Gurudwara Sahib Abtal, Ramgarh, Samba, on the auspicious festival of Baisakhi. He prayed for everyone’s happiness, wealth, peace, and well-being.

During his speech, Sinha greeted the public warmly and mentioned Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru, and his goal for an inclusive and equitable society.

“I give reverence to the esteemed Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. We are all eternally inspired by Guruji’s teachings on selfless service, honesty, sacrifice, equality, and universal love.

The Lt Governor said, “On this day in 1699, the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, established the Amrit ceremony and formalized the concept of saint-soldier, transforming the Sikhs into a family of saint-soldiers, known as the Khalsa Panth.”

The Lieutenant Governor urged the young people to aspire to the principles that Guru Gobind Singh upheld throughout his life and to work tirelessly for the betterment of the underprivileged and oppressed. He said, “Let us resolve to walk the path shown by Guru Gobind Singh ji on this Baisakhi.”

The Lieutenant Governor honored the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh atrocity on this special day. He said that people will continue to be inspired to create the India of their aspirations by the bravery and ultimate sacrifice of the martyrs.

He also praised the agricultural community’s vital role in the development of the country.
