Maharashtra is preferred by foreign investors: Samant

According to Uday Samant, the minister of industries, the state government has been successful in maintaining its standing as the nation’s top location for foreign direct investment (FDI), as he informed the council on Thursday.

In response to a query posed by Jayant Patil of the PWP (Peasants and Workers Party of India) during the 97th House Rule session, Samant asserted that the state had received ₹28,868 crore in foreign investments from multinational corporations during the previous three months. Darekar of the BJP was also present.

According to him, the Central government has published an extensive list of foreign direct investment (FDI) for the designated time period nationwide. “Maharashtra has come out on top, cementing its status as the top choice for foreign investors,” Samant said, expressing his happiness with the state’s accomplishment and praising its strong business climate.

He went on to say that in the next few days, an estimated ₹35,000 crore in investment is planned in Raigad district alone. The minister said, “We have established a substantial land bank in the MIDC area in Raigad,” and added that the district administration had been successful in acquiring property via agreements with those impacted by the project.
