Moosewala Sidhu Mother’s IVF Row: Punjab Calls Out State Health Secy for Not Talking With CM Mann About Center’s Notice

According to news agency ANI, the Punjab Government on Thursday sent state Health Secretary Ajoy Sharma with a show-cause notice for contacting the Center over Sidhu Moosewala’s mother’s IVF procedure without first bringing the problem to the knowledge of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Within two weeks, Sharma has been asked to respond to the question of why disciplinary action shouldn’t be taken against him.

Speaking about the matter, AAP leader Malvinder Singh Kang said that the Punjab Health Secretary had received a letter for failing to notify the state’s chief minister and health minister of the problem. He further claimed that the Center was interfering with the state. “We have also written to the Punjab Health Secretary, inquiring as to why he failed to forward the letter to the state’s chief medical officer and health minister. The Indian government is actively interfering. The Punjab Government is unrelated to this,” he said.

After the father of deceased musician Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh, claimed he was being hounded by the Punjab Government over his newborn child’s paperwork, a scuffle broke out. He stated he was being asked by the authorities to provide evidence of the baby’s legality.

We were able to reunite with Shubhdeep (Sidhu Moosewala) thanks to Waheguru’s blessings. But since this morning, the government has been bugging me, demanding that I provide the baby’s documentation. He said, “They are questioning me to prove that this child is legal,” in an alleged video.

However, the AAP denied the claims and said that they had not requested any information in this respect. Instead, they claimed that the Union Health Ministry had requested that the state government provide Charan Kaur’s IVF records after learning that the 58-year-old had successfully conceived a child via the procedure.

The party also provided a copy of the notice, which said that a woman receiving assisted reproductive technology (ART) services must be between the ages of 21 and 50 in accordance with Section 21(g) of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021. As a result, you are asked to investigate the situation and report to this department on the steps taken in this instance in accordance with the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021.

Rapper and performer Sidhu Moosewala of Punjab was shot and killed when unknown gunmen attacked his automobile in Jawaharke Village, Mansa district, Punjab.
