Mumbai: Dharavi Police Captures Kidnapper of 5-Year-Old Girl in 12 Hours

The person who abducted the 5-year-old child within 12 hours has been taken into custody by Dharavi Police. A complaint has been filed by the police under the POCSO Act and the Kidnapping Act against the accused.

Specifics of the case

Police information indicates that the complainant, who has a zari business, is 38 years old. He said in the police complaint that his 5-year-old daughter had been tricked into going somewhere by someone from the area around the Heritage Ground on 90 Feet Road in Dharavi.

Senior police inspector Raja Birkar of the Dharavi police station directed the formation of a special investigative team and issued directives to file a First Information Report (FIR) in this matter. The child noticed an unknown individual heading toward the Sion station when the authorities looked through the area’s CCTV video.

Raja Bidkar said that all railway police and Thane police were notified of the accused’s whereabouts when they saw him heading to the train station. The girl, meantime, was discovered within the Kalyan Taluka police station’s boundaries. The culprit had fled, but the cops managed to save the girl.

Police apprehend those suspected

After obtaining the CCTV image of the suspect and questioning over 300 persons, Dharavi Police discovered that the culprit is employed at a Govandi plant. It was there when Rajab Mohammad Shabir Sah (32) was taken into custody by the police. Sah lives in the state of Bihar’s Sitamarhi district.
