Mumbai police releases a traffic advise for December 31 and January 1 of 2024; review the “no parking” zones and routes to avoid

Regulation and prohibitory orders have been issued by the Mumbai traffic police for localities and roads around Juhu Beach in an effort to prevent traffic jams and congestion on New Year’s Eve.

The directives will be in force from December 31 at 2:00 PM till January 1 at 8:00 AM.

Mumbai traffic police warned in an official statement on Friday that “a large crowd is expected to gather at various places on the ‘NEW YEAR-2024 CELEBRATION’ eve, particularly Juhu Sea Beach, hotels, and clubs on Juhu Tara Road.”

“There will be a lot of car traffic on Juhu Tara Road, Juhu Road, Juhu Church Road, and V.M. Road, along with a lot of pedestrian crossings. As a result, these roadways will have sluggish traffic. The official announcement from the Mumbai traffic police said, “It is necessary to issue the following orders for the regulation and decrease of traffic congestion on the roads mentioned below on December 31, 2023, from 14:00 hrs to January 1, 2024, till 08:00 hrs.”

As per the statement, all vehicles on Juhu Church Road from Tulip Star Hotel Junction to Balraj Sahani Road (both south and north bounds), Santacruz (W), Mumbai, are prohibited from parking. Similarly, Juhu Road from Maharana Pratap Junction to Juhu Koliwada (both south and north bounds), Santacruz (W), Mumbai, is also off-limits to all vehicles.

According to the official declaration, from Juhu Koliwada Junction to B.P. Patel Junction (both South and North Bounds), Santacruz (W), Mumbai, there will be “No Parking” for all kinds of cars on Juhu Tara Road.
