Murder at Rohini Park: Man who dumped corpse is detained by Delhi Police

Following the discovery of a 25-year-old transgender person dead in Rohini’s Japanese Park on Thursday, Delhi Police said on Friday that they had apprehended a man who is suspected of having dumped the corpse there.

Still unknown was the crime’s motivation.

“We have detained the individual who drove the corpse to Japanese Park and dumped it there. The vehicle involved in the incident has also been confiscated, according to GS Sidhu, deputy commissioner of police (Rohini). A CCTV clip that supposedly showed the guy transporting the corpse to the park was the basis for the arrest.

Due to continuing investigations, police chose not to disclose the identity of the suspect or the circumstances surrounding his arrest. However, they said that the suspect claimed, when being questioned, that he was solely responsible for moving and disposing of the corpse.

He’s most likely attempting to deceive us. He is still being questioned on the crime’s purpose, circumstances, and accomplices. However, we may not be able to remark on such facts until we apprehend additional suspects, according to an investigator working on the case, who also suggested that personal animosity could have been the catalyst for the alleged crime.

Around 4 am on Thursday, the corpse was discovered in a pool of blood on a pavement next to gate three of the Japanese Park in Rohini. One Naveen alias Khushi, who resided in the Sultanpuri neighbourhood, was found dead with a single knife wound to the chest. According to the authorities, all of her possessions were also discovered close to her.
