Odisha’s twin city railway station is inspected by the general manager of East Coast Railway

Mohes Kumar Behera, general manager (in-charge) of East Coast Railway (ECoR), examined the renovation work at the railway stations in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

After inspecting the two stations’ side access points and circulation areas, Behera gave railway personnel advice on the required safety measures to be taken while at work. Examining the ongoing projects, he emphasized the need of completing infrastructure projects and passenger amenities on time, demonstrating his dedication to achieving the set deadlines.

When finished, both stations will be the hubs of activity, offering top-notch passenger amenities that will improve the journey.

In addition to broader approach roads, an air concourse for waiting passengers, a foot over bridge, and parking for two, three, and four wheelers, among other amenities, will be available at the entrance locations.

In addition, there will be food vendors, accommodations for travelers with disabilities, baggage scanners, retiring rooms, a passenger flow management system, integrated CCTV monitoring, and an integrated fire alarm protection system.

During the inspections, senior ECoR headquarters officials were in attendance, headed by AG Srinivas, chief administrative officer (construction).
