Offer letters were sent to constables hired via the Chandigarh Police’s sports quota

Offer letters were given to constables hired by the Chandigarh Police under the sports quota today at the UT Secretariat in Sector 9.

The main visitor for the event was Banwari Lal Purohit, the UT Administrator. DGP Praveer Ranjan said during the welcoming speech that the hiring procedure had been finished quickly and transparently.

1,520 of the 3,642 applicants who applied for the positions passed the January physical endurance and measurement exam.

Ultimately, 37 applicants received offer letters today, out of the 45 who were temporarily chosen based on their athletic accomplishments. Of these 45 applicants, 17 have competed in international competitions across a range of sports and taken home medals.
