Officers Tell Not To Panic After Bomb Threats Are Made Against 50 Delhi Schools, Nothing Found So Far

Following bomb threats received via email, numerous Delhi-NCR schools experienced panic on Wednesday morning, leading to police searches and evacuations. Police stated the threat letters appeared “on the same pattern” in many Delhi schools.

There is no reason to fear, according to DCP Central Devesh Kumar Mahla, who also said that all the schools were and nothing was discovered.

Email bomb threats were sent to many schools, including Mother Mary’s School in East Delhi Mayur Vihar, Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, and Delhi Public School in Dwarka, Noida, and Vasant Kunj.

According to Delhi Police, all schools were evacuated, kids were sent home, and a comprehensive inspection was carried out.

An article on indiatoday.in claims that on Wednesday, emails containing bomb threats were sent to over 50 schools in the Delhi-NCR.

According to a police officer, a bomb disposal squad, a bomb detection team, and personnel from the Delhi Fire Service were sent to the schools to conduct a search operation.

In their first reaction to the bomb threats, Delhi Police said, “During the initial investigation, it seems that since yesterday till now the mail has been sent to many places and it seems to be on the same pattern.”

“The email mentions BCC and does not have a date line, indicating that it was addressed to many addresses. An inquiry is now underway, according to Delhi Police.

Additionally, Delhi Public School in Noida got a threat via email. “Delhi Public School, Noida has received an email that threatens the safety and security of the students,” the school principal’s office claimed. We are sending the kids back home right now as a precaution.”

Additionally, Delhi minister Atishi told microblogging site X that after verifying, nothing was discovered about any of the institutions.

“Bomb threats were made against many schools this morning. Delhi Police have evacuated the students and are now searching the area. Nothing has been discovered in any of the schools so far. We communicate with the police and the schools on a regular basis. Would ask residents and parents not to freak out. When necessary, parents will be contacted by school administrators,” she said.
