On February 27, 28, certain areas of Bengaluru lost water supply

Most of the city’s water supply is expected to be interrupted between 6 a.m. on February 27 and 6 a.m. on February 28 due to emergency maintenance work and the installation of Unaccounted For Water (UFW) bulk flow meters by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

The second phase of the Cauvery 4th Stage will be closed for 24 hours. Water supply will therefore be interrupted in the following locations: 4th Block Nandini Layout, BHEL Layout, Nandini Layout, Srinivasa Nagar, Jaimaruthi Nagar and Badavane, Sakamma Layout, Narasimha Swamy Layout, Muneshwara Nagar, Jnana Jyothi Nagar, Jnanaganganagar, Mallathahalli, NGEF Layout, a portion of ITI Layout, 1st and 2nd Stage Railway Layout, RHBCS Layout 1st and 2nd stage, Byraweshwaranagar, Sunkadakatte, Jaya Lakshmamma Layout, Kebbehalla, Chandana Layout, Chandrashekar Layout, Geology Layout, Narasapura, Kandaya Layout, Mulakattamma Layout, Papareddypalya, BEL 1st and 2nd Stage, Bilekallu, Byadarahalli, Upkar Layout, and surrounding areas of West Bengaluru. The water supply in Bengaluru North, which includes the Dasarahalli zone and RR Nagar zone, will also be interrupted. Up to 14 BBMP wards might be impacted.

Certain areas of East Bengaluru are under the service station Vignana Nagar, which includes A Narayanapura, Udaya Nagar, Andhra Colony, VSR Layout, Indira Gandhi Street, Jyothi Nagara, Dargamahall, Sakamma Layout, and areas like Jagadish Nagar Service Station, which includes Akshaynagar, MEG Layout, Ramesh Nagar, Veerbhadra Nagar, and Shiva Shakti Colony.

The Doddanekundi and Marathalli Service Station of BWSSB, which serves the communities of Nallur Puram, Ramesh Nagar, Reddy Palya, Vibhuthipura, Annasandra Palya, and LBS Nagar, would also be affected. As a result, the BWSSB has asked that individuals stockpile enough water.
