One additional body discovered in the collapsed Ropar home

One more person was discovered dead under the rubble, bringing the total number of fatalities from the Ropar home collapse event to three. Yesterday, when Ramesh Kumar (39) and Sahil (23) were transported to the Ropar Civil Hospital and the PGI, Chandigarh, they were pronounced dead.

Nazim, a laborer, is receiving treatment at the PGI in Chandigarh, while efforts are still being made to locate the other victim.

Search teams from the NDRF and SDRF are working to find Abhishek, a fifth ensnared laborer from Harda in Ambala.

Six laborers were using jacks to raise the elevation of the home from the ground when the catastrophe occurred. Because he had gone outside to get some water, one laborer managed to survive the accident.

In the meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar of Kalasi, Karnal, has filed a complaint at the City police station under Section 304-A, 337, and 338 of the Indian Penal Code against Sukhwinder Singh, the owner of the property, and Sunil Kumar, the contractor. The cops have taken the contractor into custody.
