One person detained on suspicion of blackmail

New Delhi: According to the police on Sunday, a guy from Indore was detained by the Delhi Police for posing as a lady and using WhatsApp to blackmail individuals after recording offensive footage during conversations. On November 27, they got a report about this from the Dwarka cyber police station. Sunil Manjhi, the complainant, said that after getting in touch with him, the accused made an offensive video and used it to blackmail him. Manjhi said that he gave the accused Rs 64,040. The apprehended culprit has been identified as Rohit Yadav, a Gohaan Karadiya village inhabitant, according to Dwarka DCP Ankit Singh.

6.5K tickets for intoxicated driving

New Delhi: In the first three months of 2024, the Delhi Traffic Police arrested 6,591 people for driving while intoxicated, the agency stated in a statement on Sunday. Compared to the same time last year, when the police issued 5,384 such challans, there was a 22% increase. According to the police, this worrying trend highlights the critical need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and more public knowledge in order to guarantee public safety on Delhi’s roadways.
