PM Modi wants to put a stop to government meddling in middle-class people’s lives

NEW DELHI: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the nation’s infrastructure development’s unparalleled scope and pace while stating his desire for the government to stay out of the lives of the middle class.

“I want government to be removed from people’s lives, and I particularly oppose government meddling in the affairs of the middle class. What does the government require on a daily basis and at all times? At the opening of Bharat Tex 2024, the largest international textile exhibition in India, the prime minister said, “We should establish a society where government intervention is minimal.”
Speaking at a different event to introduce over 2,000 railway infrastructure projects costing an estimated Rs 41,000 crore spread across 27 states, Modi said that he is certain to win a third term and that the drive to expand infrastructure would continue.

“In June, this government will start its third term. People are shocked by the scope and pace of the development activity.” There were forty thousand participants in the program, including eleven chief ministers and 29 governors.
At the massive textile exhibition, Modi expressed his belief that the government should support the impoverished and provide for their fundamental needs, such as healthcare and education, drawing on his motto of “minimum govt and maximum governance”. “As for the rest, I oppose needless government meddling. For the last ten years, I have been struggling against this,” he said.
With the Lok Sabha elections just around the brink, Modi expressed his confidence for a third term by stating that he would make sure needless meddling ceased in the next five years. Just as soon, however, he said, “I am not talking about elections.”
The Prime Minister said during his speech at the railway celebration that the program represented the work culture of New India. “India operates at a pace and scale never seen before in any endeavor. India of today has moved beyond having modest dreams. We have lofty goals and put forth great effort to achieve them. This Viksit Bharat Viksit Railway initiative demonstrates this determination,” he said.
Modi praised the railway industry’s accomplishments, citing the installation of new lines, increased electrification, and the introduction of contemporary trains, and said that the nation’s transportation system had been harmed by self-serving politicians. But now it was the standard for “ease to travel” and was undergoing significant change, he said.

The government has concentrated on increasing capacity and installing new trains for passenger comfort, according to railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He said that standard-gauge Vande Bharat trains will soon be produced in India for export.

Regarding the government increasing capital expenditure for building infrastructure, Modi said that every dollar invested in it generated new revenue streams and jobs. He made fun of past governments when he argued that corruption prevented development and large budgets from producing outcomes.
During his speech at the textile exhibition, Modi encouraged the business to think creatively in order to support the sector. He emphasized the vital role the textile industry plays in helping India achieve its 2047 objective of being a developed nation. More than 40,000 business visitors, 3,000 buyers from more than 100 countries, and more than 3,500 exhibitors will be present at the event.
