Punjab Congress establishes a hotline to assist furious farmers

In the midst of the continuing farmers’ protest, the state Congress today approved legal help for farmers, showing sympathy for the restless farmers.

Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the head of the state party, announced the launch of a hotline cellphone number for farmers and expressed his strong opposition to the BJP-led Central Government. He also promised to assist Punjabi farmers who are now participating in the protest at the Haryana borders without wavering.

“Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had already declared that he would introduce legislation on MSP if voted into power,” he claimed. Though it was working against the farmers, the BJP was only saving them. The fact that the “anna daata” of our country are still fighting for the basic rights that the Center long ago promised them is depressing. This moment will be remembered in history, just as the last farmers’ protest did.
